“The most important lesson we take from death is how to live richer fuller lives.”

As Coroner, I will build relationships, push innovation and design better outcomes for the residents of our McHenry County.

For the past decade I have worked as a registered nurse specializing in critical care, led and directed an in hospital crisis response team,  hospice, and recently worked in case management. As an RN, I have gained valuable leadership experience, administrative experience, and  understand the importance of empathy, patience, and maintaining a calm composed attitude during crisis situations.

As coroner,  I fully intend  on supporting public health and justice while actively working on improving both for the citizens of McHenry County. I intend on creating dashboards to track opioid related deaths, suicides, and gun violence related deaths in our county so that the public and relevant safety/health officials can use this data to properply track and mitigate the public health issues that our county faces.

An investment in me, is an investment in the future as I am constantly striving for the best. Support me so I may serve the needs of McHenry County to the best of my ability in the role of Coroner.

Your support is greatly appreciated.

Empathy

As a registered nurse with years of experience, I have kept vigil with families as the person they love was in the final stages of life. I understand the importance of the relationship between the coroner’s office and the community. I know how important it is to be with people in the worst moments of their lives.

Excellence

As a Nurse Case Manager, I apply data to outcomes, using scientific evidence based on best practices in order to have treatment plans that have better outcomes. My experience of matching science to policy and practice will be the foundation of excellence in the Coroner’s Office.

Innovation

Being in the medical field has shown me the value of keeping an open mind and embracing innovation. I will continue to find new ways to apply scientific data through the coroner’s office to address significant health and safety issues in McHenry County.
